Men's Track & Field Finish Second at Berry Field Day Invitational

The Emory University men's track and field team won two events at the Berry Field Day Invitational over the weekend as the Eagles finishes second out of 17 programs, recording 95 team points.

Sophomore Liam Fost had an individual event win, posting a time of 48.39 to win the 400m Dash and was part of the winning 4x400m Relay along with junior Alex Rand, freshman Matthew White and sophomore Jacob Hedgepeth that crossed with an event winning time of 3:21.56.

Hedgepeth added a second place finish in the 800m Run at 1:56.26 as did freshman Spencer Moore in the 3000m Steeplechase (9:42.67). Freshman Lucas Werner registered two top-four finishes in the hurdles with season best marks, taking third in the 400m (56.99) and was fourth in the 110m (15.69).

In the 5000m Run, sophomore Matthew Dillon was third with a time of 15:14.20 and in the 3000m Steeplechase, junior Alex Campbell finished third in a time of 9:56.19. Freshman Chris Jernigan highlighted the field performers, recording a season-best distance of 48.03m to finish third in the javelin.

The Eagles will be at Sewanee and Georgia Tech next weekend before competing in the UAA Championships on April 27th and 28th.
