Freshman Henry Brandstadter made the most of his first-ever collegiate meet, establishing a new school record in the long jump - breaking the previous record of 7.18m stood for nearly 30 years. His mark of 7.20m was the second-best jump at the meet. Brandstadter also competed in the high jump, placing fifth in event at 1.90m.
