Title: Assistant Coach

Alexandra Aiello joins the Emory University Track & Field coaching staff for the 2016-17 season as an assistant coach. No stranger to the program, Aiello recently completed her four year career with the Eagles, graduating in May of 2016 with a degree in Mathematics.

As a senior, Aiello turned in her best overall season to date earning several honors during both the indoor and outdoor seasons. She was named the University Athletic Association Most Outstanding Field Performer at the Indoor Championships after being crowned the UAA Champion in the triple jump and finished second in the long jump. Aiello added another UAA title at the Outdoor Championships, this time in the long jump and added All-UAA finishes in both the 400m Relay (2nd) and triple jump (3rd).

The Mentor, OH native also has received All-American honors as freshman, helping Emory to a seventh place finish in the 1600m Relay. In her career, Aiello was a three-time UAA Champion, a four-time indoor All-UAA finisher, a three-time outdoor All-UAA finisher and was a USTFCCCA South/Southeast Region and CoSIDA Academic All-District selection as a senior.
