UAA CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS PROGRAM

COURSE LOCATION: The course is located in McIntosh Reserve Park  - 1046 W. McIntosh Cir., Whitesburg, GA  30185.  The Chattahoochee Riverside Course is located about a half mile from the entry gate house to the park.  Follow the signs.

CHAMPIONSHIP RACES: 
Men’s 8K – 10:30 AM
Women’s 6K –11:15 AM

PARK ACCESS:
Parents and others coming to watch the event will be charged a $5.00 park access fee. This covers parking as well.

RESULTS, AWARDS AND AWARD CEREMONY
Results will be streaming live at http://www.ptgrouponline.com/Live/2016/Emory/UAA/.
Results will be posted on the boards near the finish tent. Coaches wishing to protest those results have 15 minutes to do so from the time of the posting. Protest forms are in the meet packet. The award ceremony will start 30 minutes from the conclusion of the finish of the women’s race.  Awards will be held in the area adjacent to the finish line tent.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS - McIntosh Reserve Park - Chattahoochee Riverside Cross Country Course

The course is run on a 1.5 mile loop, with the men running 3 and ¼ loops and the women 2 and ½ loops.  The course runs along the flat river bank of the Chattahoochee.  It has literally no changes of elevation.  The course is entirely run on short cut field grass.  The footing is quite good and should be well worn in from previous high school events.

Head east on N Terminal Pkwy (0.5 mi)

Keep left at the fork, follow signs for I-85 S/I-285/Montgomery and merge onto I-85 S (0.9 mi)

Merge onto I-85 S (1.5 mi)

Use the 2nd from the right lane to stay on I-85 S (0.5 mi)

Take exit 69 for GA-14 Spur toward S Fulton Pkwy (1.8 mi)

Continue onto GA-14 Spur W (1.7 mi)

Continue onto S Fulton Pkwy (18.9 mi)

Continue onto Capps Ferry Rd (0.6 mi)

Turn left onto Florence Rd (1.5 mi)

Turn left onto Old 5 Notch Rd (1.6 mi)

Turn left onto GA-5 S (8.0 mi)

Turn left onto Burnett Rd/W McIntosh Cir (1.8 mi)
