Sophomore Marty Pimentel helped the No. 23-ranked Emory men's cross country team to a first-place finish at the JSU Foothills Invitational in Oxford, Alabama.

Pimentel paced the team and placed fourth overall in the 183-runner field, posting an 8k time of 26:09, which represented his second-best career effort. His performance helped Emory capture the top-five scoring positions.

Emory topped the 20-team field with 15 points, well ahead of runner-up Tennessee Wesleyan's 95 points.
