Junior Sam Branson helped the 24th-ranked Emory men's cross country team to a strong performance at the University of Montevallo Falcon Classic.

Branson led the Emory pack and placed 20th out of 227 runners, registering an 8K time of 26:05 that represented his second-fastest career effort.

Branson's outing helped the Eagles to a fourth-place finish in the 25-team field, which was comprised mainly of Division II schools along with some Division I representation.
