Senior Brett Lucas helped lead the Eagles cross country team to a first place finish at the Converse Kickoff in Greenville, SC this past weekend. Lucas finished ninth overall out of the 272 competitors with a time of 25:53.9 in the 8k. Lucas led all Emory runners and edged out all competitors for Wingate University, who finished in second. While he finished ninth overall, Lucas came in third amongst all other DIII competitors with an average mile time of 5:12.6.
