Sophomore outfielder Jessica Thomas enjoyed a big day in helping the Eagles to a split of a doubleheader against Berry College on Saturday. Thomas went a combined four-of-seven at the plate (.571) in the two contests with the split leaving the team’s record at 15-9. After picking up a hit in three trips to the plate in a 2-0 setback the opener, Thomas exploded in the second affair, socking a pair of homers to highlight a 3-for-4 performance. Thomas scored a pair of runs and totaled 7 RBIs, the fourth highest-game total in school history. After her single in the first inning knocked in a pair of runs, she hit a three-run homer in the fifth and added a two-run shot in the sixth in helping the team to a 9-0 victory.
