Junior catcher Jessica Boni helped the co-No. 1 –ranked Eagles to a 2-1-1 record last week.  Boni tied for the team’s lead in hitting with a .429 average, picking up six hits in 14 trips to the plate along with knocking in four runs.  Boni picked up a hit and a RBI in each game against Piedmont College (Mar. 23), helping the Eagles to 4-3 and 5-0 victories.  Against No. 8 DePauw, she collected one hit and RBI in a 7-6 opening-game setback before coming through with three hits in a 10-inning 9-9 tie.  Boni registered one RBI in the game, that coming in the bottom of the 10^th when her two-strike single drove in Dana Goodenough with what proved to be the tying run.
