Freshman center fielder Lauren Gorodetsky helped the No. 2 –ranked Eagles to a 4-0 record last week, boosting the team’s win streak to nine games and overall record to 38-2-1. Gorodetsky hit .769, collecting 10 hits in 13 trips to the plate while recording four RBIs and scoring three runs.  She picked up two or more safeties in all four contests and in the process raised her season batting average to .393.  In a 3-0 first-game win over Piedmont, she went 2-for-2 and scored a run before slapping out two more hits, including the eventual game-winning RBI, in a 5-4 victory in the nightcap.  On Saturday, she went a combined 6-for-8 and totaled 3 RBIs in a doubleheader sweep at Maryville. Included in her totals was a 4-for-4 hitting performance with two RBIs in an 8-3 win.  In addition to her offensive totals, she was successful on all four of her base-stealing attempts, raising her team-leading mark to 15, and handled all seven of her fielding chances flawlessly.
