Sophomore Hannah Sendel hit .571 with three RBIs as the Emory
softball team posted a split of a doubleheader vs. Maryville
College.
Sendel collected a team-high three hits in four trips to the plate
and knocked in three runs while scoring twice in the first contest,
a 10-1 Emory triumph. Two of her safeties were extra-base
hits, a solo homer in the third inning and a two-run double in the
top of the sixth that eventually closed the game's scoring out.
It was her 12th round tripper of the year and team-high tying
20th two-bagger.
In the finale, Sendel went 1-for-3 at the plate.
On the year, she is hitting .394 with 52 hits in 132 at-bats.
She is second on the squad with 55 RBIs.
