Junior Hannah Sendel helped the No. 8-ranked Emory softball team to a share of the University Athletic Association championship, with the Eagles finishing with an 8-2 record.

Sendel paced the Eagles in a number of offensive categories including runs (14), home runs (7), RBIs (16), total bases (37), walks (9), on-base percentage (.676) and slugging percentage (1.423).

One of her performances was a 3-for-5 effort at the plate in a 13-3 win over Case Western, with all of her hits home runs that tied a school record for most round trippers in a game.  She scored four runs against the Spartans wound up the contest with 5 RBIs.  In the UAA finale, a 10-2 triumph over Rochester that clinched a piece of the league title, Sendel went 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs.   She drove in the team's first run of the game in the bottom of the first and doubled in the Eagles' first run during an eight-run uprising in the bottom of the fifth.  She opened the UAA Championships  with a pair of homers and three RBIs in a 14-2 decision over New York University. 

Emory stands 18-2 in overall play.
