Junior left fielder Taylor Forte swung a hot bat in helping the No. 17-ranked Emory softball team to four season-opening wins at the 3n2 Elite Event.

Forte closed out the weekend hitting .692, collecting nine hits in 13 trips to the plate. In addition, she scored a team-high six runs and paced the squad with seven RBIs. She hit safely in all four contests and turned in three-hit contests vs. Agnes Scott and Huntingdon College, both on Feb. 13.
In a 19-1 win over Agnes Scott, she scored the  team's first run of the season and later delivered a bases-clearing double.  In a 7-0 whitewash of Huntingdon College, she knocked in the only run that the team would need in the first inning and later socked a two-run triple that closed out Emory's scoring.   On the final day of action, she went a combined 3-for-6 at the plate with two runs scored in 7-3 and 15-3 triumphs over Huntingdon and Agnes Scott, respectively.
