Senior outfielder Alyssa Pollard swung a hot bat in helping the No. 2-ranked Emory softball team to a 4-0 record.

Pollard hit a scorching .714, collecting 10 hits in 14 trips to the plate.  She paced the squad with 10 runs scored and with an on-base percentage of .714. 

She hit safely in all four outings and recorded a 4-for-4 effort at the plate, while scoring three runs, in a five-inning, 8-0 triumph over Maryville College.  The day before, she recorded three safeties in four at-bats, scored twice and knocked in one run in sparking the team to a 9-3 verdict over Pomona-Pitzer. 

So far this year, Pollard has started 24 of the 25 contests she has seen action in and is hitting .400 (28 of 70).  She is tied for third on the squad with 23 runs scored and has stolen a team-high seven bases in as many attempts.
