Senior Janelle Turnquest helped the Emory softball team to a road sweep of Washington University.

Turnquest appeared in three contests and finished with an effort of .667 at the plate, collecting four hits in six at-bats. In addition, she knocked in four runs (second on the team), finished with a team-high 1.500 slugging percentage and drew a pair of walks.

In Friday's second-game 4-1 victory, Turnquest went 1-for-2 with her hit a two-out pinch-hit single that tied the score at 1-1. On Saturday, she began the day by turning in another 1-for-2 performance at the plate and knocked in two runs, one of which came on a triple, in a 9-0 decision, and she followed that effort by stroking a lead off homer in the top of the sixth (one of her 2 hits in the game), snapping a 2-2 deadlock and providing Emory its winning run in a 4-2 triumph.
