Senior shortstop Cassie Baca helped the Emory softball team to a pair of wins in a three-game series against DePauw University.

Baca posted a .556 mark at the plate, registering five hits in nine trips to the plate. She led the club with six runs scored and tied for the team lead with four RBIs.

Baca hit safely in all three contests including a 3-for-4 performance with three runs scored and three ribbies in a 9-5 triumph on Saturday. She socked a run-producing triple that accounted for the Eagles' second run during a three-run uprising in the bottom of the fourth that boosted them to an 8-2 advantage. In Sunday's 7-5 verdict over the Tigers, she drove in Emory's second run of the game on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second, and then crossed the plate with the club's last run in the bottom of the sixth after coming through with a two-bagger, moving to third after stealing her second base in the series and then scoring on a sac fly off the bat of Natalie Arreguin.
