Getting To Know Sami Feller

The 2019 season will represent Sami Feller's third year as a member of the Emory softball program.  In 2018, she contributed both at the plate and in the circle, seeing action in 31 contests, 22 in a starting capacity. She registered a hitting mark of .322 (19-of-59), finishing with one homer and seven RBIs, while posting a 2-1 won-lost mark as a pitcher. 

A native of Coral Springs, Florida, Sammi majors in media studies.

My most memorable athletic moment: playing against the University of Georgia in their stadium this year

What I like most about Emory: being able to study media and business, while playing softball and competing everyday

I would like to switch places for the day with: LeBron James

My favorite place on the Emory campus: the duc

Favorite Class You Have Taken So Far At Emory and Why?: Religion and Sexuality - it was a topic that I didn't know anything about and I took it with my teammates so it was fun to learn something new together

Favorite athlete: Bartolo Colon

Favorite Sports Team/s: Miami Marlins and Dolphins

The people who have helped me most at Emory are and why: my teammates, trainers, and coaches for helping to keep me on track and for supporting me

Any pre-game rituals: I give people stickers from my sticker book and we play music in the locker room 

The sport I would be playing if I wasn't competing in softball: tennis or dance! even though I am terrible at both

If I could have dinner with only three people in history, they would be: Michael Jordan, George Washington, Albert Einstein 

Ten years from now I see myself: working with a company in a job that I enjoy!

The best advice I have ever been given and who gave it to you: Coach Baggetta told us to approach the way we craft our game the way you would "build your own house." That way, you put your best product forward when contributing to the team effort, and you pay attention to both small details and big picture.

What is something that very few, if any, people know about you: I used to compete nationally in slalom skiing!
