Emory Softball Wins Two Games vs. BSC Via Forfeit - Seniors Recognized

The Emory softball team won two home games via forfeit on Saturday vs. Birmingham Southern.

The Eagles will be awarded a pair of 7-0 wins over the Panthers, upping their record to 8-2.

The forfeit took place as a result of an injury suffered by a Birmingham Southern infielder during the bottom of the third inning of the first game. After nearly a 30-minute delay that saw her receive medical treatment and eventually leave the field conscious and sitting up, the head coaches of both teams conferred before it was decided that BSC would forfeit both contests.

Per NCAA rules, any statistics that were recorded will not count.

Emory softball did hold Senior Day with current players, Sami Feller, Greta Wilker, Allie Moberg, Natalie Arreguin, Madison Schaefer and Kristi Colussi, and former players Sarah Katz and Jessy McLean recognized for their contributions to the program.
