Eight From Emory Softball Receive NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its 2022 Easton/NFCA Academic Teams and All-America Scholar-Athletes earlier this week.

The Emory University softball team shined in both regards, posting the 16th-best team GPA amongst all Division III institutions with a 3/67 combined GPA and saw eight student-athletes honored as All-America Scholar Athletes.

To be considered for the team award, a program must have a minimum of a 3.0 combined GPA while a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

The eight Eagles honored were Leslie Berg, Kayla Lang, Tyler Miller, Page Nellis, Mattie Ryan, Abby Sekoff, Natalie Swift and Megan Weisenberg.

The Eagles are coming off a season where the finished 18-20 overall and saw four players earn postseason recognition from the UAA.
