Junior Azzairia Jackson-Sherrod helped the Emory women's basketball team to a South Region win in its lone action of the week.
Jackson-Sherrod totaled a team-high 12 points in the Eagles' 53-40 win over Agnes Scott College. She converted six-of-11 field goal attempts en route to her sixth double-figure scoring effort of the season. In addition, her mark from the floor represented the sixth time this year she had shot 50 percent or better from the field.
Through games played Dec. 10, Jackson-Sherrod is third on the team and 14th among UAA players in scoring average (12.0 ppg).
