Junior Ashley Oldshue recorded a game-high tying 18 points to lead four double-figure scorers as the Emory women's basketball team posted a Tuesday night road win over Covenant College.  The Eagles notched their third straight victory and boosted their record to 3-1 in the process with a 75-63 outcome over the Scots who fell to 1-2.

Oldshue wound up the contest sinking nine-of-14 field goal attempts in registering her fourth double-figure scoring performance of the season.  Sophomore Erin Lindahl came off the bench to chalk up her second double-double of the campaign, registering 15 points and a game-high 12 caroms.  Lindahl was successful on five-of-nine from the floor and four-of-four from the charity stripe.  Junior Azziaria Jackson-Sherrod picked up 12 points on the strength of six-of-11 field goal shooting while sophomore Lindsey Tse chipped in 11 points, seven assists and three steals.

Holding a 56-52 lead with 8:33 remaining in the contest, the Eagles went on a well-timed 8-0 run over the next three minutes, with Jackson-Sherrod, Lindahl, freshman Blair Ripley and Tse all hitting buckets in that stretch, to claim a 64-52 advantage.  Covenant cut its deficit to seven points with 4:14 on the clock, but a basket by Jackson-Sherrod ignited six unanswered Emory points that put the game out of reach at 72-59 with 2:34 remaining.  Emory shot 64 percent (9 of 14) from the field over the final 10 minutes of action vs. Covenant's 35.7 percent (5 of 14).

The Eagles were successful on 47.8 percent (32 of 67) of their field goal opportunities while the Scots checked in at 42.9 percent (24 of 56). Emory held a 35-34 rebounding edge and came with up 16 steals.

Emory returns to action next Tuesday (Nov. 28) when it plays at Sewanee.
