Senior Azzairia Jackson-Sherrod helped the Emory women's basketball team to a split of a pair of home University Athletic Association contests.

The 5-foot-9 Jackson-Sherrod closed out the weekend averaging 9.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in outings vs. Case Western Reserve and Carnegie Mellon. In addition, she shot a team-high 66.7 percent (8-of-12) from the field.

Azzairia tied for second on the team in scoring with 10 points, her seventh double-figure scoring performance of the season, and contributed six rebounds and a game-high three blocked shots in the tussle vs. Case Western Reserve. She then tallied eight points, and snared five boards in the squad's 56-51 outcome over Carnegie Mellon. She scored Emory's final four points of the game including a bucket with 19 seconds on the clock that would prove to be the final scoring of the afternoon.
