Ashley Oldshue Captures D3hoops.com All-Region Honors

Emory University senior Ashley Oldshue has been recognized for her banner 2018-19 campaign by being named as an all-region selection by D3hoops.com.

The 6-foot-2 Oldshue was selected to All-South Region Second Team after winding up a memorable campaign that saw her rank prominently in a number of conference statistical categories.

A starter in all 26 games, Oldshue was the catalyst to the Eagles earning the program's first bid to the NCAA D-III Tournament since 2013.  She helped Emory attain a final record of 19-7, including a 10-4 slate in University Athletic Association play that was good for a second-place tie in the league standings.  She topped the team and ranked fourth among UAA players with a scoring average of 16.7 points per game, the sixth-highest seasonal mark in school history. Oldshue also found herself among the conference leaders in rebounding (4th, 8.2 rpg), field goal percentage (.554, 173-of-312), free throw percentage (.766, 85-of-11) and blocked shots (2nd, 2.1 bpg).

A double-figure scorer on 24 occasions during the campaign, she registered eight performance of 20 or more points.   A First Team All-UAA honoree for the third straight season (just one of two players in program history to claim that distinction), she ranked as Emory's leading scorer in 18 contests while pacing the squad in rebounding on 15 occasions.

A four-time UAA Player of the Week, Oldshue totaled eight double-doubles during the season, raising her career total to 19. She wrapped up her four-year run in the program tied for fourth in scoring (1,302 pts.) and fifth in rebounds (661) on the Eagles' all-time ladder.
