Junior Mariane Auza had a dominant week on the defensive end for the Eagles. On Friday night against Case Western Reserve, Auza fell two steals shy of a triple-double, finishing the game with 19 points, 10 rebounds and eight steals with her eight steals falling one behind the program record for steals in a game. Auza averaged an unbelievable five steals per game in Emory's three games this week. She also had an outstanding week on the offensive end averaging 11.5 points per game on 50% shooting. Auza usually serves as a jack-of-all-trades type for the Eagles doing the dirty work and filling in the gaps where necessary but this week she stepped into a more prominent role and delivered in helping lead the Eagles to a 2-1 week.
