Misha Jackson was named Head Coach of the Emory women's basketball program in March of 2018.  Jackson was appointed as the Eagles' Interim Head Coach in October of 2017 and served in that capacity during the 2017-18 campaign.  Prior to those appointments, Misha had been on the Emory staff since 2013-14.   Her five-year record as head coach stands at 83-42.

Jackson's second campaign at the helm was memorable as she guided the Eagles to their first NCAA Tournament berth since 2013 and the program's fourth ever, finishing the year at 19-7 which represented the fourth-highest total in school annals.  Emory tied for second place in the University Athletic Association with a ledger of 10-4, just the fourth time that an Emory team registered double-figure wins in league play. Emory led the UAA in a number of statistical categories including scoring defense (56.3 ppg), scoring margin (+11.1) and field goal percentage defense (.354).  The Eagles were second in the loop, and 37th nationally, in field goal percentage (.430) three-point field goal percentage (.328) and rebound margin (+5.7).  Emory held eight foes to 50 or fewer points while showing an edge in rebounding in 17 outings. Jackson mentored three players to all-UAA acclaim, including senior Ashley Oldshue who earned her third straight first-team nod. Juniors Erin Lindahl and Allison Chernow rounded out the trio with second-team recognition.  Oldshue landed Honorable Mention All-America honors and was chosen to play in the  inaugural Beyond Sports Women's Collegiate All-Star Game presented by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).

In her first year patrolling the sidelines, Jackson guided the program to an overall slate of 13-12.  Emory finished the University Athletic Association portion of the schedule with a 7-7 mark, with the win total the school's highest since the 2012-13 season.  The Eagles ranked second among conference squads in assists average (14.5 apg) in league action and stood third in scoring defense (63.8 ppg), rebound margin (+3.9) and field goal percentage.  Under Jackson's tutelage, three Eagles landed conference acclaim, highlighted by Ashley Oldshue's first-team nod.  Azzairia Jackson-Sherrod garnered second-team recognition while Erin Lindahl rounded out the group with an honorable-mention spot. In addition, Oldshue was a D3hoops.com All-South Region Third Team selection.

Jackson suited up in an Emory uniform from 2010-11 through 2012-13 and played in a total of 78 games, 69 in a starting capacity.  By the time she had hung up her uniform, she had placed herself among the school's top-10 all-time performers in 11 categories including second in blocked shots (95) and first in blocked shots average (1.2 bpg).  She grabbed a total of 621 rebounds, good for seventh place on Emory's career ladder, while her 8.0 per-game average in rebounding ranks fifth.  In addition, she closed out her stint as an Eagle in the No. 10 spots on Emory's all-time charts in total points (900) and scoring average (11.5 ppg).

Misha was no stranger to individual honors with the highlight coming her final campaign when she was picked as a WBCA Honorable Mention All-American.   She also landed First Team All-University Athletic Association honors for the first time after leading the conference in rebounding (9.0 rpg) while producing a league-high eight double-doubles (pts./rebs.) during the season.   As a sophomore and junior, she was chosen to the All-UAA Second Team.

She graduated from Emory with a degree in psychology in May of 2013.
