Title: Assistant Coach

The 2017-18 season represents Chuck Melito's first year in the Emory women’s basketball program.

Melito joins the Eagles’ staff after spending the last two seasons as an assistant coach with the Atlanta Show of the North American Basketball League. In each of those two campaigns the Atlanta based franchise made it to the NABL finals, winning the title in 2016. Before joining the Show, Melito was the head boys’ basketball coach at The Lovett School in Atlanta for 18 seasons where he still serves as Assistant Principal for Operations. Before moving to Atlanta, Melito served as an assistant coach in the men’s program at Loyola University of New Orleans helping guide the Wolfpack to the NAIA Southwest Region Championship and a berth in the NAIA Div. II National Tournament.

A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Chuck is a graduate of Tulane University with a degree in Physical Education.  He and his wife Jill have three daughters; Melissa, Jessica, and Kelsey.
