Emory Freshman Mariana Chong set the pace for the Women's Golf Team at the MCC Intercollegiate, Apr. 11-12, at the Montgomery Country Club in Montgomery, Alabama.
Chong tied for third out of 50 players, ending the 36-hole with a score of one-over par 145. After shooting a 75 on the first day of action, Chong established a program record when she carded a two-under 70 over the final 18 holes of action. Included in that historic round were five birdies.
Emory ended the MCC Intercollegiate fourth out of 10 squads with a score of 610 (302-308).
