Freshman Rebecca Schiffman helped the Emory women's golf team to a fifth-place tie out of 16 teams at the Jekyll Island Women's Collegiate. The 54-hole tournament was played on the 5,801-yard, par-72 Indian Mound Course at the Jekyll Island Golf Club.
Schiffman distinguished herself in her initial collegiate tournament by pacing the squad and ranking eighth overall of of 82 players with a score of 237 (79-76-82). She led or tied for the team's scoring lead in all three rounds.
