Ellen Dong

Freshman Ellen Dong became the second golfer in Emory history to win an individual national championship as she led the Eagles to their first-ever national championship this past week in Houston. Dong broke the individual four-round record with a four-day total of 289 and defeated George Fox's Alison Takamiya in a one-hole playoff to win the individual crown. Dong was one of three players to finish inside the top-17 as Emory smashed the NCAA Championship record to win the team title by an impressive 26 strokes.
