    The Emory University Women’s Soccer team dominated Division II Brevard College Tuesday night at the Woodruff Physical Education Center, defeating the Tornados 5-0 to give Head Coach Sue Patberg win No. 300 in her career. Patberg, who is in her 23rd season as a head coach now stands at 300-129-54 overall and is 154-42-36 in her 12 seasons guiding the Eagles. She becomes the 56th head coach in NCAA Women’s Soccer history to reach that milestone.

With the victory, the Eagles improved to 2-1 in UAA action and 8-4 overall while the Spartans fell to 5-5-3 on the season and 0-2-1 in conference play.

Prior to start of the game on Sunday morning, the Eagles will have a special pregame ceremony to honor their two seniors – Cristina Ramirez and Hannah Meyer.

This is the first career Athlete of the Week honor for Batt and the first AOW award for the Eagles this season.

The Eagles have now won four consecutive contests to improve to 6-3 on the year while the loss was the first suffered by the Maroons this season as they fall to 9-1-0.

    The Emory University Women’s Soccer game Wednesday night at Maryville College has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict. The Scots were originally slated to play Covenant College on Tuesday night but that match has been rescheduled for Wednesday evening due to inclement weather in the area on Tuesday. There has been no makeup date scheduled at this time between Emory and Maryville.

    Freshman Caroline Kolski scored just 2:56 seconds into the second overtime period to give the Emory University Women’s Soccer team a come-from-behind victory over 23rd-ranked Centre College, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon at the Woodruff PE Center. The Eagles have now won three straight to run their record to 5-3 on the year while the loss was the first of the season for the Colonels as they drop to 8-1-2.
