Junior Jordan Doak registered the game-winning goal in Emory's Labor Day 4-0 win at Pfeiffer University, breaking a scoreless contest early in the second half. She finished the weekend third on the team in shots (4) and shots on goal (3). Doak was also a key figure of the Emory defensive unit that allowed just a single goal on nine shots on target across the two games over the holiday weekend.
Junior Abbe McCarter scored her first career game-winner with one minute remaining in regulation to give Emory a season opening win at Georgia Gwinnett. She added an assist in Monday's 4-0 win at Pfeiffer University to finish tied for the team lead with three points. She added team-highs in shots (7) and shots on goal (5).
