The Emory University Women's Soccer team won its third consecutive game Sunday afternoon, dominating Huntingdon College to the tune of 6-0 in Montgomery, AL. With the win, the Eagles improve to 6-2 on the year while the Hawks dropped to 3-3-3.

Five different Eagles scored in the contest, led by sophomore Samantha Hilsee's first career two-goal performance. Emory for the game held Huntingdon to just one shot on goal to record its fifth shutout of the season. The Eagles finished the match with a 24-2 lead in shots and a 17-1 margin in shots on goal.

Senior Abbe McCarter was the lone Eagles to score in the first half before the flood gates opened in the second 45 minute period. McCarter registered her fourth tally in 2018 with the go ahead goal in the 18^th minute on the assist by junior Shivani Beall.

Hilsee began the second half scoring barrage with back-to-back markers in the 48^th and 58^th minutes with sophomore Caroline Moore recording assists on both goals. The scoring continued for the Eagles in the 63^rd minute as Beall found the scoring column with her fourth goal of the season.

Moore and sophomore Jordan Fitzgerald rounded out the Emory scorers on the afternoon as both players registered their first goals of their Emory careers. Moore found the back of the net in the 67^th minute before Fitzgerald followed in the 77^th.

Senior Dani Staffin, junior Haley Pratt and freshman Ellen Ziaja combined for the team shutout with Staff playing the first 63:18 minutes of the game and making one save on the lone shot the Eagle goalkeepers faced on the day.

Emory will take its current three-game winning streak into St. Louis, MO next Saturday as the Eagles face the No.-2 ranked Washington University Bears in the University Athletic Association opener.
