Emory University sophomore Samantha Hilsee of the Women's Soccer team has been named the University Athletic Association Offensive Athlete of the Week. It is the first career honor for the Windermere, FL native.
Hilsee led the Eagles to a 2-0 record against USA South foes over the weekend, recording three goals and one assist for a team-high seven points. She scored her first goal of the season in the team's 3-0 win over Piedmont on Friday and followed that up with her first-ever multi-goal performance on Sunday in Emory's 6-0 domination over Huntingdon, finishing with a career-best five points in the victory.
The Eagles return to action this Saturday afternoon against the No. 1 ranked Washington University Bears in the UAA opener for both teams. Play is set to begin at 2:30 PM EST.
