Peyton Robertson Collects UAA Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week Honor

Emory University women's soccer freshman Peyton Robertson was selected as the University Athletic Association Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday as she helped the Eagles to a win over Rochester in the regular season finale.

Robertson played 80 minutes as the Eagles topped the Yellowjackets, 2-1, on Saturday. In addition to helping the Emory defense limit the Rochester to one goal on four shots (1 SOG), Robertson netted her second game-winning goal of the season as she headed in a corner kick by sophomore Arielle Williamson in the 71st minute to give the Eagles the lead for good.

Robertson enters the postseason with three goals and two assists for eight points on her ledger while playing a team-leading 1,417 minutes.

The Eagles are back on the pitch this Saturday, November 16th in the NCAA First Round against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Kickoff from Cal Lutheran University is set for 10:30 PM EST / 7:30 PM PST.
