    Junior Cindy Cheng won a pair of individual national championships, assisted on three relay titles and added another individual All-America finish to help the Emory Women's Swimming & Diving to its eighth consecutive national championship. Cheng took home gold in both the 100 Backstroke (54.41 - school record) and 200 Freestyle (1:46.82 - school record). She was also part of the national championship relay teams in the 200 Medley (1:40.83), 400 Medley (3:39.57 - Division III record) and 800 Freestyle Relay (7:14.98 - Division III record). Cheng rounded out her 2017 NCAA Championships with a third place finish in the 200 Backstroke, touching in a time of 1:58.62.

    Sophomore Hannah Lally registered a pair of NCAA B Cut times for the Eagles over the weekend at the Royal Open in Charlotte, NC. Both her NCAA qualifying marks came during the preliminary sessions in the 100 Breast (1:03.63) and 200 Breast (2:18.87). In the finals of both events, Lally posted second place showings with times of 1:03.89 and 2:18.93, respectively.

    Junior Cindy Cheng was tabbed as the UAA Swimmer of the Year for the second consecutive year after earning event titles in the 500 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke (55.07 – UAA Record) and 200 Backstroke (1:58.46 – UAA Record) and was part of four relay title teams, helping to set new Association records in all four events.

    Sophomore Fiona Muir turned in two individual NCAA B Cuts and added one more in the 200 Free Relay as Emory fell to defending NCAA DI national champions Georgia, 194-99, on Saturday afternoon. Muir touched second in the 100 Free at 51.43 and was third in 50 Free at 23.73, both NCAA qualifying marks. In the 200 Free Relay, Muir along with Meg Taylor, Marcela Sanchez-Aizcorbe and Marissa Bergh came in second with a NCAA B Cut time of 1:35.18.

    Senior Annelise Kowalsky had an impressive senior day on Saturday afternoon as she took first in both Breaststroke events and helped Emory to a first place finish in the 200 Medley Relay as well as a third place showing in the 200 Free Relay. Kowalsky recorded NCAA B Cut times in both Breaststroke events, touching at 1:04.50 in the 100 and 2:20.75 in the 200. In the 200 MR, Kowalsky swam the Breaststroke leg as the Eagles took first with a NCAA qualifying mark of 1:44.91. In the 200 Free, she swam the second leg as her foursome finished third with a time of 1:41.34.

    Freshman Caroline Olson helped the Eagles improve to 4-0 in dual meets, winning a team-best two individual events as Emory defeated Birmingham-Southern 157-108 on Saturday. Olson took first in both the 50 Free (24.09) and 100 Free (53.22) events.

    Junior Cindy Cheng led the Eagles to a convincing 173-86 victory over Division II Florida Southern on Saturday afternoon. Cheng posted two individual events wins in the 200 Free (1:52.55) and 200 Back (2:03.24) - both NCAA B Cut times. She also helped Emory to a first place finish in the 200 Medley Relay as the relay team touched with a NCAA qualifying time of 1:41.74.

    Junior Cindy Cheng had an impressive Miami Invitational this past weekend as the junior recorded six NCAA "B" Cut times, one NCAA "A" Cut time and set a school record to help the Eagles to second place finish at the meet. Cheng set the school record in the 200 Back on Saturday, finishing first with a time of 1:57.26. She added NCAA "B" Cuts in the 500 Free (2nd, 4:51.85), 200 Free (2nd, 1:48.13), 400 Medley Relay (2nd, 3:44.39), 200 Medley Relay (3rd, 1:42.04), 800 Free Relay (1st, 7:22.08) and the 400 Free Relay (1st, 3:21.91). She currently ranks first in Division III in the 500 Free, 200 Free, 200 Back, 400 Medley Relay, 400 Free Relay, second in 800 Free Relay and third in the 200 Medley Relay.

    Sophomore Fiona Muir posted two individual event victories in the 50 Free (24.12) and 100 Fly (57.87) and assisted on two first place relay teams, the 200 Medley (1:45.92) and 200 Free (1:36.31) as the Eagles defeated the defending NAIA National Champions SCAD 146-97 on Saturday afternoon. Her 50 Free time ranks 3rd in all of Division III while her 100 Fly time places her 7th.

    Junior Cindy Cheng recorded three NCAA B Cut times (two individually, one relay) to help the Eagles defeat the defending DII National Champions Queens University of Charlotte on Saturday. Cheng won the 100 Back (55.17) and 200 Back (2:01.91), swam the first leg of the second place 400 Medley Relay team (3:50.73) and added a sixth place finish in the 500 Free (5:12.84) at the meet.
