Women's Swimming & Diving Receive 2019 National Championship Rings

Members of the Emory University women's swimming and diving team received their championship rings at the Lullwater House Tuesday evening at an event hosted by Emory President Dr. Claire Sterk.

The team members each individually received their championship rings at the reception with Dr. Sterk, Clyde Partin Sr. Director of Athletics Dr. Michael Vienna as well as other members of the Emory administration and staff in attendance.

The ring ceremony comes on the heels of the Eagles capturing their 10th straight national crown this past March, outlasting Kenyon College 488-479, in the closest national championship meet in Division III history. Fiona Muir led the Eagles with individual titles in the 50, 100 and 200 Freestyle events and added national titles in the 400 Medley Relay with Ashley Daniels, Caroline Olson and Lucy Daro in the 400 Medley Relay and in the 200 Freestyle Relay with Meg Taylor, Hannah Lally and Zoe Walker.

In total, Emory claimed national titles in five events and collected 19 All-America honors and 17 All-America Honorable Mention certificates to win the program's 12th overall national championship.
