Emory University sophomore Michelle Satterfield won both her singles and doubles matches during the top-ranked Eagles 8-1 win over the 12th-ranked University of the South on Thursday. Satterfield teamed with freshman Anna Fuhr to win 8-4 in the first doubles match over Lindsey Liles and Bronte Goodhue, the top-ranked doubles pairing in the Atlantic South Region. She followed that with a straight-set win in the second doubles match, 6-2, 7-5 over Liles, ranked fifth in singles in the Atlantic South. Satterfield, who is the seventh in singles play in the region this year, improved to 9-6 in singles matches and to 10-9 in doubles play with the wins. The Eagles raised their season ledger to 12-3 with Thursday’s victory.
