Emory University senior Danielle Truitt won the singles ‘C’ draw at the Grizzly Open in Lawrenceville, Georgia last weekend. Truitt won all five of her singles matches in straight sets during the weekend, including four against Division II opponents and one against a Division I player. She clinched the tournament win with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory over Sandra Flores of West Alabama. In the second round of the draw, she earned a 6-1, 6-4 win against Pilar Ferrando of Division I Alabama State. Truitt finished her fall season with a 6-1 record in singles matches.
