Emory Student-Athletes Make Donation to Winship Cancer Institute

Members of the Emory University Women's Tennis team along with several other Emory student-athletes donated a check worth $2,460 to the Winship Institute for Cancer Research late last week.

The money was raised during the athletic department's annual "Think Pink" week last spring with the Women's Tennis program raising $1,500 during their yearly "Aces for the Cure" initiative. The Eagles racked up 15 aces across two match wins against Berry College and Brenau University.

Emory continues its fall season this weekend with the USTA/ITA South Fall Regional Championship which will be held at the Woodruff PE Center, the SAAC and Agnes Scott College from the 23rd to the 25th.
