Emory University senior Bridget Harding and freshman Ysabel Gonzalez-Rico were named the University Athletic Association Women's Tennis Athletes of the Week as announced Monday afternoon. It is the 10^th time in her career Harding has earned the weekly honor while this marks the first career honor for Gonzalez-Rico.

Harding and Gonzalez-Rico breezed through the doubles tournament this past weekend, going 4-0 to capture the ITA South Regional Championship. They became the 11^th straight Emory doubles tandem to win the regional title with Harding becoming the fourth Eagle to win three ITA regional doubles championships in a career.

The duo also shined in the singles draw over the weekend, meeting in the championship final on Sunday afternoon. Gonzalez-Rico bested Harding, the defending regional singles champion, in straight sets in the title match to become the 16^th straight Eagle to win the ITA regional singles crown.

Emory returns to the tennis courts in two weeks with the Mercer Gridiron Classic, held at Mercer University in Macon, GA.
