CHAMPIONSHIP WEBSITE

The No.-2 ranked Emory University Women's Tennis team travels to Chattanooga, TN this weekend (March 2-4) for the ITA National Division III Indoor Championships. Sewanee University serves as the host for the three-day tournament with matches to be played at three different venues: The Baylor School, The McCallie School and the Manker Patten Tennis Club.

The Eagles look to defend their national indoors crown after defeating Pomona-Pitzer, 5-4, in last year's title match. Overall, Emory will be making its fifth appearance in tournament and has enjoyed tremendous success, earning back-to-back titles in 2010 and 2011 in addition to last year's win and were the runners-up in the inaugural championship match in 2009.

Head Coach Amy Bryant Preivews the Weekend

The 2018 version of the ITA National Indoor Championships is set to feature some of the top Division III programs in the country as eight of the top-17 will compete in Chattanooga. The Eagles are the top-seeded team this weekend and will face the host and 17th-ranked, Sewanee, in the opening round on Friday at 5:00 PM. The previously mentioned Pomona-Pitzer (6th nationally) is the two-seed and battles seventh-seed and 12th-ranked Washington & Lee at 1:00 PM.

The No.-9 ranked University of Chicago squares off against 13th-ranked John Hopkins University in the three vs. six-seeded matchup while the four vs. five match pits UAA foes Carnegie Mellon University (10th nationally) and Washington University (11th nationally) against each other.
