Emory Women's Tennis Set to Face Chicago in NCAA Quarterfinals on Monday

The top-ranked Emory University Women's Tennis team will be in search of its third NCAA Division III title in the last five years and the eighth overall as the final rounds of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships begin on Monday, May 21st at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, California.

The Eagles (15-4) are set to face 10th-ranked University of Chicago (19-4) in the NCAA Quarterfinals, beginning at 6:00 PM Eastern Time on Monday. The meeting will be a rematch of last month's University Athletic Association title match where the Eagles came out on top by a 7-2 margin. Emory is 20-2 all-time against the Maroons including a 2-0 record in the NCAA tournament. The Eagles, appearing in their 11th straight quarterfinals and 28th overall, have won nine straight Elite Eight matches and are 15-1 in their last 16 Round of Eight appearances.

The winner of the Emory-Chicago match will meet either 4th-ranked Middlebury (16-3) or 5th-ranked Wesleyan (CT) (14-3) in the semifinals at 6:00 PM Eastern Time on Tuesday.

On the other side of the draw, host and 3rd-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (26-2) is set to play 11th-ranked MIT (20-2) while 2nd-ranked Williams (20-0) squares off against 8th-ranked Amherst (12-9). Both matches are slated for 9:00 PM EST start times on Monday.
