Emory University senior Daniela Lopez was named the University Athletic Association's Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance at the ITA Grass Court Invitational this past weekend.

Lopez was crowned the women's singles champion after posting a 3-0 record in the top singles draw including a 6-4, 7-6 (8) win over sophomore Ysabel Gonzalez-Rico in the title match on Sunday. Lopez added a 2-0 record to win the B draw in doubles with teammate Emma Cartledge, winning both matches 8-3. It is the third time in Lopez's career she has earned the weekly honor.

The Eagles return to the courts on Friday, September 28^th when Emory hosts the three-day ITA South Regional Championships.
