Sophomore Christina Watson teamed with freshman Alexa Goetz to capture the ITA South regional doubles championship this past weekend in Rome, GA. After being pushed to a tiebreaker in the opening round, Goetz/Watson dominated the remaining matches of their run, dropping just five games total including just one game in the championship match as they defeated Emma Cartledge and Defne Olcay 6-0, 6-1.
In the singles draw, Watson reached the semifinals before falling to Emma Cartledge in straight sets.
