Senior Ysabel Gonzalez-Rico went 2-0 in doubles and 1-1 in singles as the Eagles went 1-1 this past week against Georgia Gwinnett and WashU. Playing with Katie Chang, the duo improved to 7-0 in the spring with a 8-3 win at #1 doubles vs. GGC before posting another 8-3 decision at #2 doubles against WashU. In singles, Gonzalez-Rico dropped a tough three-setter 6-1, 3-6, 4-6 to GGC's No. 1 singles player before rebounding with a 6-4, 6-2 over WashU's Ally Persky on Sunday. She now is tied for the team lead with 5 singles victories, going 5-2 overall at the No. 1 spot.
