Freshman Ana Cristina Perez led the Eagles to two wins in the NCAA tournament this past weekend as Emory clinched a berth to the NCAA Quarterfinals. Perez went 2-0 in singles including the match clincher vs. Williams, dropping just three games total as she won 6-0, 6-1 vs. RIC and 6-2, 6-0 vs. Williams playing at the #4 position. She added a 2-0 record at the #3 doubles spot with Lauren Yoon, posting 8-0 and 8-1 victories against the Anchormen and Ephs. For the season, Perez is now 5-2 in singles and 2-2 with Yoon in doubles.
