Sophomore Xuanjin Li paired up with junior Alexa Goetz to capture the ITA South Regional championship this past weekend in Tennessee. Goetz/Li, the top seed in the draw, went 5-0 as they defeated Birmingham-Southern's Rushing/Prater (withdraw), Sewanee's Reid/Towning (8-0), Sewanee's Smith/Nowak (8-5) in the first three rounds before beating teammates Ana Cristina Perez/Lauren Yoon (6-2, 6-3) in the semifinals and Emma Cartledge/Jessica Fatemi 6-3, 7-5 in the finals.
In singles, Li won her first two matches in straight sets before she was beat by Christina Watson, 6-3, 6-1 in the Round of 16.
