Freshman Iris Berman reached the finals of her respective draws in both singles and doubles while competing this past weekend at the Elon Fall Invitational. Berman began her collegiate career with straight set wins over players from James Madison (7-5, 6-3) and Virginia Tech (6-0, 6-0) before falling the finals to her Richmond counterpart 6-3, 6-3. In doubles play, Berman also advanced to the finals of her draw while playing alongside classmate Alyssa Margolin. The tandem went 2-0 on Friday with wins over teams from UNC-Greensboro (8-6) and Richmond (8-5) prior to falling to ETSU in the finals 8-5.
