Mary Crystal Spence

Emory University’s Mary Crystal Spence recorded a provisional qualifying time as part of Emory’s 4x100-meter relay team, and was within a tenth of a second of provisional qualifying marks in two other events at the Georgia Tech Invitational.  Spence ran the anchor leg on the Eagles’ 4x100-meter relay team, which finished 14^th in the event with a time of 48.39 seconds, while facing mostly Division I competition.  In the 200-meter dash, the senior finished 40^th with a time of 25.33 seconds, eight hundredths of a second short of the provisional qualifying time.  Rounding out the meet, Spence finished 48^th in the 100-meter dash, and her time of 12.33 seconds was just three hundredths of a second shy of the provisional qualifying time.
