Emory University freshman Debora Adjibaba recorded two first-place finishes and a second-place finish at the Cardinal Opener on Friday night.  Adjibaba won the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.01 seconds, the second-fastest time by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor this year, and the 35th-fastest among all Division III competitors.  She later ran the leadoff leg of the Eagles’ 4x400-meter relay, which finished first in a time of 4:05.60, the 12th-fastest in Division III this season.  Adjibaba rounded out the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash, as her time of 27.18 ranked as the second-fastest in the UAA during the campaign.  The freshman accounted for 20.5 of the Eagles’ 124.50 points, helping the team to a second-place finish.
